First, all J&M hook-up cords come with a white or gray tag that tells the part number for that particular cord, this is the best way to make sure you get the correct cord. Second, if your current headset uses 8-pin connection at the helmet, then you need either the Z-series or P-series cords, which are not available on this page. Finally, all the replacement cords on this page are for 5-pin connection at the helmet, but not all 5-pn connections are the same.
We are offering two series of 5-pin hook-up cords, the J-Series and the ABE-Series. The difference is the hook-up at the helmet, the J-Series is a straight in hook-up with a rubber strap to hold in place; and the ABE-Series is a right angle hook-up at the helmet. Each of these series is available in a single cord, or a two piece cord hook-up.
The different series cords are NOT interchangeable; HC-JA will only connect to the HC-JB cord.
The J-Series 5-pin cords are used on J&M headsets #HS-8154, HS-8169, HS-8129, HS-8134 and HS-8146.
