Installed on an '09 Goldwing. Pre-Read instructions . Additional instructions are available elsewhere. Get them if you can. Do not need to loosen anything on the muffler to mount the side rails. Short bungee cord works well to hang the side rail from the helmet locks. Will allow side rail to rock back and swing up and over the muffler. Remove forward side case bolt, pull side case out enough to slip side rail in. Lower "V" brace beneath black box may need to be bent just a tad to remount correctly over the side rails. Install, BUT DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BOLTS. Allows play in the hitch so you can get things lined up and all the bolts installed. One issue, I've read this elsewhere, once the rear panel was reinstalled, one of the lower "H" bracket bolt heads is touching the rear panel. I need to grind the bolt head down a tad, or reinstall a longer bolt WITHOUT the washers and put a put a nylon lock nut on the back side. Stay calm, take a break and have a cup coffee.
